Burgundy is the heart of ancient France. It was the centre of the Roman presence in Gaul, the seat of the Dukes of Burgundy whose power at one time stretched from the Netherlands to Spain. Evidence of those times still exists and on this tour will have the possibility to bike through a slice of Burgundy history.

Cycle through quiet, old villages, nestling in the middle of the vines, with stone houses, old churches, restored lavoirs, which have not changed significantly for generations. Your tour will first lead you to Beaune _ the ancient capital of Burgundy, which retains a large part of its original city walls. Then you will follow your route to Chäteauneuf _ 14th century castle which dominates the region and Autun _ which still keeps many souvenirs of its importance in Roman times. Burgundy and the legend continues!
