This tour takes you through the shimmering, colourful countryside between the Marne Valley and the Montagne de Reims Natural Park. The Champagne region also has a fabulous religious heritage the jewel of which is the Gothic Cathedral of Reims.

Day 1: Arrival in Reims

As you arrive in Reims nothing can prepare you for your first glimpse of Reims’ gargantuan gothic cathedral. The town regarded as the capital of the province of Champagne, where you will be given your tour guidebooks, maps and tourist information as well as your bikes if hired.

Day 2: Reims – Tours sur Marne: 40km

After breakfast, mount your bike and cycle to the city of Tours sur Marne through the typical vineyards and villages of the Montagne de Reims: Mailly Champagne, Verzenay and Bouzy. Tonight you will stay in tour sur Marne.

Day 3: Tours sur Marne – Epernay: 12KM

This mornings ride is short and easy alongside the Marne canal ending up in Epernay. Overnight stay in Epernay.

Day 4: Epernay – Vertus – 25 km

After breakfast you will cycle to the south of Epernay where you will find the variety of chardonnay grape vineyards. This grape is used to make champagne blanc de blancs, a flavour full of freshness and elegance. Tonight you will stay in Vertus.

Day 5: Vertus – Cha?tillon sur Marne: 35km

Today you will cycle your way to the east of Epernay in the Marne Valley, the region planted with grape varieties of Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir. Overnight stay.

Day 6: Cha?tillon sur Marne – Reims: 35km

After a hearty breakfast, you will be back on your bike pedalling through the “Montagne de Reims” home to the regional national park. You will continue onto Reims to enjoy the last night of your holiday.
