Day 1: Arrival in Grignan

Once you have checked into your hotel and received the hotel’s tour package you are free to relax or explore. Overnight stay.

Day 2: Grignan – La Garde Adhemar – Saint-Paul 3 Chateaux – Suze la Rousse: 35km

Today you will discover typical villages of the Drome Provencale area: la Garde-Adhemar, Saint-Paul-3-Chateaux and Suze la Rousse. La Garde-Adhemar has been classed as one of the 100 most beautiful villages in France. This village has kept elements of its mediaeval history alive by maintaining traces of the castle and old houses. Saint-Paul-3-Chateaux, a walled village with many of the ancient walls still standing. The final stretch of today’s adventure will take you to Suze-la- Rousse where you will spend the night in a hotel. Perhaps visit the magnificent Chateau de Suze-la-Rousse listed as a historical monument. The name means ‘Suzy the Red’, inspired by the lady of the castle and her flaming red hair. Overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 3: Suze – Visan – Vinsobres – Nyons: 36km

After breakfast it’s time to get back on the saddle and begin today’s adventure. Cycle to the charming, historic village of Visan, then on to Vinsobres. Today your senses will truly be heightened as you cycle your way past lavender fields, vineyards and olive groves. You can do a detour and visit Richerenches, where there is a truffle market on Saturday mornings. At the end of the day you will arrive in Nyons, known as an olive oil city with a microclimate characterised by gentleness, sunshine and no wind. Overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 4: Nyons – Dieulefit: 35km

You will cycle through Gorges de l’Eygues, a beautiful mountainous area. Continue your ride through Concordet and la Paillette. You will then reach the nice village of Dieulefit where you will stay for the night.

Day 5: Dieulefit – Grignan: 35km

After breakfast, departure in direction of Grignan through Le Poet Laval, a marvellous restored village of Templar. You’ll stop at the top of the Montagne de la Serie, where you have an extraordinary panorama of the area. In the afternoon you will arrive at Grignan where you can discover the chateaux of Madame de Sevigne. Overnight stay.
