Day 1: Arrival in Athens/Piraeus

Individual arrival at the Marina Zeas (Piraeus). Here you can check in on the Panagiota from 2pm. Dinner this evening is then on board before an overnight stay in the Piraeus harbour.

Day 2: Piraeus – Aegina – Palaia Epidauros: 35km cycle

This morning starts with a sail to Aegina, the pistachio producing capital of Greece. Here your first cycle tour takes you to the incredibly well preserved temple of Aphaia, which sits high up on a hill and looks out over the lucent sea. Afterwards you cycle back to the boat through the interior of the island and along Palaiochora and the monastery of Holy Nektarios. Lunch is then served on board at Aegina town, followed by a relaxing cruise over to Palaia Epidauros.

Day 3: Epidauros – Isthmus of Corinth: 35km cycle

From Palaia Epidauros today’s cycle route takes you to the ancient sanctuary of demi-god Asklepios. Here you’ll explore the best-preserved ancient theatre in Greece. In the afternoon you’ll then sail through the Isthmus of Corinth, which was completed in 1893, is a 24m wide and 8m deep canal that connects the Aegaen Sea with the Gulf of Corinth, and turns a 400km sail around the whole Peloponnese into a 6.3km trip right through it. Weather dependent the cruise continues to Galaxidi for you overnight stay.

Day 4: Galazidi – Delphi – Nafpaktos – Ithica

This morning a transfer picks you up at Galaxidi and takes you the famous site of Delphi, which rests at the foot of the Parnassus mountain range. Apollo, the god of light, was once worshipped here and the oracle consulted. Its many treasures include numerous ancient temples and theatres, but the location of the hillside sanctuary is by far the most breath-taking element of this incredible island. In the afternoon a bus takes you to the harbour of Nafpaktos, where your boat will then cruise to Vathy on the island of Ithaca.

Day 5: Ithaca: 20/28km cycle

This morning starts with a cycle on the homeland of mythical King Odysseus – Ithica. The island is fairly hilly and has a stunning landscape; covered in olive trees and surrounded by crystal clear water. It’s also off the beaten tourist track, and so time here appears to stand still. With the weather permitting you’ll then cruise to Porto Katsiki after lunch. It is one of the most famous beaches in Greece, situated directly below the Leukadian cliffs. Here you’ll take a long and relaxing swim before cruising on to Nidri for your overnight stay.

Day 6: Nidri – Lefkas Town – Paxos: 27km cycle

Today starts with a stunning cycle through luscious olive groves to the hidden waterfalls of Nidri and on through the mountain world of Lefkas. At Lefkas town you’ll climb back aboard the boat that will take you to Paxos, where you’ll spend the night in the quaint natural harbour of Gaios.

Day 7: Paxos: 23km cycle

Paxos, the smallest of the seven Ionian Islands is a grove of olive trees, which gives the island a magical, silver green colour. Today’s cycle is a circle of the island, before a final swim in the Mediterranean sea on one of the many beaches on the way round. After lunch the boat then brings you back to Corfu town, where you’ll enjoy your final celebratory meal with your fellow guests, crew and guides.

Day 8: Departure from Corfu

After breakfast, your tour comes to an end. It is possible, however, to extend your holiday at your request. NB: It is also possible to do this tour in reverse (Corfu – Athens).
